The Irregular at Magic High School

Seit dem Dritten Weltkrieg, der bereits nicht mehr mit Nuklearwaffen, sondern durch Magie entschieden wurde, rüsten die Staaten der Welt auf, was ihren Zauberernachwuchs angeht. Magie ist in der Welt von The Irregular at Magic High School (Mahôka Kôkô no Rettôsei) jedoch keine esoterische Angelegenheit. Vielmehr steht sehr viel Technik dahinter - mit Instrumenten, Formeln und Berechnungen. So ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass es nicht jeder an die Erste Staatliche Magieoberschule schafft und selbst vor Ort gibt es große Unterschiede zwischen den Fähigkeiten und dem sozialen Stand der Mitschüler.

Im Mittelpunkt der Handlung der 26-teiligen Science-Fantasy-Serie von Madhouse stehen der akademisch weniger erfolgreiche Tatsuya Shiba und seine äußerst begabte Schwester Miyuki, die zu Beginn der Serie eingeschult werden.
