Farscape - Verschollen im All
Der irdische Wissenschaftler Commander John Crichton (Ben Browder) unternimmt in der Serie Farscape einen Testflug mit einem neuartigen Raumschiff in unserem Sonnensystem. Dabei wird er überraschender Weise mit seinem Raumschiff durch ein Wurmloch katapultiert und verlässt - vermutlich als erster Mensch - unser Sonnensystem.
Ohne einen Bezugspunkt für eine Rückkehr in unser Sonnensystem zu haben landet im Reich der Peacekeeper, deren Name nicht Programm ist, denn sie sind ein äußerst militantes und skrupelloses Volk, das eher eine Militärdiktatur aufrecht erhält. Durch eine von Crichton unverschuldete Kollision mit einem Raumschiff kommt ein Pilot ums Leben. Dessen Bruder, Peacekeeper-Captain Bialar Crais, macht Crichton dafür verantwortlich und schwört Rache. Daraufhin flüchtet Crichton zusammen mit anderen von Crais gesuchten Aliens im lebendigen Raumschiff Moya...
Im weiteren Verlauf wird Crichton auch wegen der von ihm mutmaßlich beherrschten Wurmloch-Reise verfolgt.

Wer produziert die Serie Farscape - Verschollen im All?
Die Tricktechniker von Jim Henson, dem Erfinder der Muppet Show, kreieren für jede Folge neue seltsame und interessante Aliens, die nicht selten Crichton und seinen Gefährten schwer zu schaffen machen.
Am 6. September 2002 haben die Produzenten David Kemper und Richard Manning und der Schauspieler Ben Browder im Onlinechat des Sci-Fi Channel (mittlerweile Syfy) verkündet das es keine 5. Staffel der Serie geben wird und die Serie damit eingestellt sei. Danach gelang es aber doch noch, die Finanzierung für eine Miniserie zu sichern, die die Handlung der Serie abrundete.
